The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Banja Luka was established on March 17, 1978 as part of the University’s mission to educate highly qualified medical professionals such as doctors of medicine. It is one of the oldest and most respected medical institutions in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, it is a centre of academic excellence, scientific research, and clinical training that contributes to health care systems both locally and internationally
